Riverdance


John Vickers Sound Design had the privilege of taking care of the sound production for a very special event to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh's first State Visit to Ireland.

This historic event was held in the Conference Centre Dublin (The CCD) and included a cultural and musical concert in the 2000-seater Auditorium.

Hosted by Gay Byrne entertainment included live performances from Louis Walsh's Westlife accompanied by The Dublin Gospel Choir, X-Factor's Mary Byrne, The Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Brophy, John McColgans Riverdance. The Chieftains and Eurovision Song Contest winner Emer Quinn.

Also attending the event were President Mary McAleese, British Ambassador to Ireland Julian King along with representatives from sport, culture, politics, entertainment and business.
